Welcome from the Head teacher
Dear Parents and Carers
We hope you like our vision statement -
“Together we explore, discover achieve and grow; developing outstanding practice”
This has been adopted by staff and governors to indicate the direction for our future school development particularly as we join together under one Headteacher with Heacham Junior and Snettisham Primary. Our friendly, inclusive Infant school is situated in a large village on the West Norfolk coast and our Junior School which shares the same families and some staff , is a short walk away.
We believe it is important to work in partnership with out Trust and Schools. We are proud to belong to West Norfolk Academies Trust who link 7 Primaries in West Norfolk. We also work with in partnership with you and your children to develop and build on their skills to create the best opportunities for their future. We will work hard to communicate your child's achievement throughout school, discussing targets and plans to support progress on a regular basis. We plan inspiring learning sequences and extend key skills through a breadth of engaging themes using Talk 4 Writing and Power Of Reading to enhance English and Communication opportunities. We aim to develop children’s spiritual, moral, cultural and social skills suitable for modern Britain. This means that in our school we encourage respect, tolerance, kindness and thoughtfulness. It also means that we value and celebrate differences between us. We are awarded with an Equality Award in 2018. We hope to raise our young children’s aspirations through links with the wider community and world.
We have great facilities, including extensive outdoor space, forest school sessions, Two year old provision and a Nursery offering full day flexible provision for our 3-4 year olds. We plan trips, visits and workshops every term to make
learning fun and offer a good range of after school clubs including Art Club, Children’s University, PE club,Football club, ICT and French. Good achievement, happiness and good behaviour are our priorities and we ensure good care and guidance from dedicated staff and governors. There are also many opportunities for you to come and help. So please come to visit us and see for yourselves what we can offer your children in our vibrant school.
